My Story

Adams came into rescue with us from a shelter in Virginia where he waited for a month while they worked to find a rescue to take him. Adams had a broken front leg and his paw was bent backwards. He lived with this injury for more than a year before he found his way to the shelter. The damage was unfixable, and it was very painful, and he needed an amputation. Then he broke with Parvo.

Adams is all healed now and as you can see from the video, the missing leg doesn’t hold him back one bit. Adams is a super happy 1-1/2-year old Border Collie mix weighing in at around 50 lbs. He is good with everyone and everything but would be best with older kids over the age of 10 because of his energy level. Adams is very quiet inside and very snuggly and loveable. He wants to be where you are at all times. He loves long walks and a good romp, but he is also good at settling down in the house with a good chew toy. He is a little fearful of loud noises, but hey, I am, too so we shouldn’t hold that against him.

Adams’ perfect home will be an active one that will take him on walks, hiking, or even running. This is an all-around great boy who is waiting for his forever home.
