I'm ready for my new family!

Say hello to Wiley, a 10-month-old, fifty-one pound Border Collie mix who defines the word “loyal.” She came in with her best friend Reed — the same Reed who was shot three times and somehow lived to tell the tale — and Wiley never left her side through it all. If you’re looking for loyalty, this dog has already aced the test. Wiley is sweet, active, and just a little timid in new situations. Don’t mistake that for being slow. This girl is frighteningly smart. We’re talking “file your taxes and find loopholes you didn’t know existed” smart. If you don’t give her a job, she’ll invent one, and you may not like what she comes up with. She needs a fenced yard, a canine friend who can show her how to navigate the new world, and a family with kids over twelve who won’t get flattened by her herding tendencies. And yes, she does exhibit all the classic Border Collie behaviors, so if you don’t know what that means, Google it before applying. We're not sure what she's mixed with, but whatever it is - husky, sheltie - no idea, but this dog never misses anything. She is cat-interested, but we don't fully trust her around cats, mainly because she's never lived with one, and we just aren't sure if her interest is Wile E. Coyote interest or just a "hey you look like a fun friend" interest. If you’re ready for a devoted, whip-smart sidekick who will keep you on your toes and love you without question, Wiley is waiting. Just don’t be surprised when she figures out your Wi-Fi password before you do.
