Meet Miriam. She is a four year old, 80-pound, Lab, English Setter, Great Pyrenees mix who was abandoned in the middle of nowhere with fourteen other hunting-type dogs because apparently people are terrible.
Miriam, however, is not terrible. She is very sweet, very quiet, and very well-mannered. She’s the kind of dog who won’t knock over your coffee table or lunge for the Amazon driver. She’s good with other dogs, she’s fine with cats, and she will happily coexist with kids as long as they’re past the screeching banshee stage. She loves petting and attention and I suspect it was in short supply in her previous existence.
She does need a fenced yard because she’d like to sunbathe without wandering into traffic, but otherwise her requirements are pretty minimal. She’s not high drama, not high maintenance, and not here for nonsense. She is just a quiet girl who is the functional equivalent of the shy book nerd in high school who is content to watch and hang out.
If you’re looking for a gentle, low-key companion who won’t turn your life into a circus, Miriam would like you to step up and apply. She’s already had enough of the “middle of nowhere” lifestyle, thanks.
