Every so often, we get a dog in that is just a really nice dog with no issues who nevertheless is overlooked. Koala is a 76-pound lab mix who hasn’t even hit his first birthday yet and is already nailing this whole perfect dog thing. He’s sweet, quiet, and unfailingly kind. People, dogs, cats - he likes them all. His only knock is that he is a black dog and they just sit longer. We aren't really sure of his breed lineage and we've heard mastiff and Great Dane thrown out there, but he's not quite big enough for that in our opinion, but maybe somewhere back in that family tree there's a big giant dog in the ancestry.
Koala is the kind of dog who blends right in and makes every day better. He’s calm without being boring, affectionate without being clingy, and he’d really love a home with another dog to keep him company. He has excellent manners for a young dog, he walks well on a leash and rides well in the car. He's a very nice boy who is looking for zero trouble and just wants a yard, a friend and a nice place to take a nap. He will do well in pretty much any home.
