Say hello to Elsie, our 3-year-old, 105-pound Saint Bernard/Great Pyrenees mix who is the functional equivalent of a weighted blanket. She is sweet, friendly, and believes firmly in the philosophy of conserving energy.
She’s good with dogs that don't invade her space. She’s good with cats. She’s good with literally everyone, provided that they don’t expect her to actually do something beyond amble. This is not your jogging partner. This is your Netflix-and-nap partner who will make you question why you ever bothered buying furniture smaller than a sectional. She is capable of rare bursts of speed, but she is more than happy to spend 98% of her time in a Zen-like trance.
At 105 pounds, she has the gravitational pull of a small planet and she is more than happy to collapse into your lap, onto your couch, or across your entire bed if given the chance. She is, in short, the best excuse you’ll ever have for not getting up vacuum. If you’ve got a fenced yard (that she’ll ignore in favor of lying in the shade) and you’ve been longing for a massive, snuggly roommate who doubles as a conversation-starting floor ornament, she’s your girl.
