Nine months old. Legs for days. Ears that do their own thing. Possibly part dog, part cartoon character.
Koala is a Black Lab/Great Dane mix who’s still growing into his frame (and his personality), and will likely tip the scales around 90 pounds of loveable, lanky goofball by the time he’s done. He’s the kind of dog who might accidentally sit on your foot and then melt your heart with a look that says, “Oh hey, I live here now.”
He’s sweet, gentle, and just a tiny bit shy at first — but once you pass the “not a villain” vibe check, he’s all about the belly rubs and buddy time. He gets along great with other dogs, finds cats very interesting (he hasn’t lived with any yet, so supervision is key), and would do best in a home with kids past the “zooming and shrieking” phase of life.
Koala isn’t a wild child — he’s more of a low-key goof. He has playful bursts and definitely shows signs of becoming an elite-level dork, but he’s not hyper or chaotic. He’s well-mannered, affectionate, and, frankly, just a very good boy.
Koala came to us when his previous home wasn’t safe anymore. We suspect there was domestic violence in his background, and he deserves a fresh start in a home full of love, kindness, and snacks (we assume snacks are part of your love language, too).
A fenced yard is a must for this gentle giant in training, and he’d thrive with a calm, patient adopter who can help him continue building confidence. In return, Koala will give you giant cuddle puddles, soulful stares, and the kind of love that only a dog with a big heart and even bigger paws can offer.
